Iain McNeish
Iain McNeish is Chair of Oncology and head of the Division of Cancer at Imperial College London. He is also Director of the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre at Imperial College. He trained in medicine at the University of Oxford from 1986 to 1992 and undertook junior medical jobs in Oxford and Glasgow from 1992 until 1995. He then did his PhD as an MRC Clinical Fellow at the University of Birmingham until 1998 and was subsequently a Cancer Research UK Clinician Scientist from 1999 to 2007 at Imperial College London. From 2007 until 2012, he was an MRC Senior Clinical Fellow and Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at Barts Cancer Institute, London and, from 2012 – 2017, Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the University of Glasgow. His lab focusses on developing novel therapies for ovarian cancer including gene and viral therapies, based upon improved understanding the fundamental biology of the disease.
