Glena Travis 34th Lorne Cancer Conference 2022

Glena Travis

I’m a passionate cancer researcher and science educator, currently in the final year of my PhD candidature at the University of Technology Sydney. Looking forward to learning and expanding my knowledge through this conference. My research looks at quantitating a vital tumour suppressor, PTEN and its non-coding RNA, pseudogene, PTENp1 in various cancer and non-cancer cells. Additionally, I also look at microRNAs that regulate the tumour suppressor and pseudogene, utilising bioinformatics to predict and miRNA-Seq analysis to examine cell lines and their microRNA profile.
